ATTORNEY AT LAW SEES DIFFICULTY IN CHARGING DOCTOR FOR COCAINE SURGERY

There is another view that the police cannot lay any charges at this time against a doctor involved in the cocaine surgery which occurred at a private hospital in the east. So says prominent attorney at law, Mr.Wayne Sturge.



SAFE CITY CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED BY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

The police service has launched its’ Safe City Campaign in Port of Spain, ahead of the shopping and Christmas season. Acting Police Commissioner, Stephen Williams, says the Safe City initiative will see more uniformed officers on the streets of Port of Spain as well as more traffic wardens.



POLITICAL LEADER OF ILP RESIGNS

Lyndira Oudit says her resignation from the post of ILP Political Leader came after much thought and discussion. Ms Oudit resigned with immediate effect yesterday and issued a news release last evening saying the announcement was made at a special emergency meeting of the ILP’s national executive.



EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT LEAVES TWO CRITICAL

An early morning accident on the Priority Bus Route has left two persons in critical condition and 13 others injured. According to reports, the accident took place at the corner of the PBR and Olton Road in Arima around 6.30am and involved a maxi taxi and a private car.
